New contraceptive welcomed
The DA welcomes the roll out of the relatively new contraceptive device Implanon, which is available at all Ekurhuleni clinics for a nominal charge of R96.52.

Geoff Fenn, DA councillor, says the device, effective for three years, is inserted under the skin of the upper arm.
“It is suitable for most women who are able to use oral contraceptives. “All clinics have nursing sisters trained in its insertion which is a quick and painless procedure,” he says.
He says that the DA hopes that the Ekurhuleni Department of Health continue to supply residents with advanced medical products at affordable rates. – @CarmenBoksburg
