According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, the community must always be on the lookout for suspicious people or vehicles, when they draw cash at the ATM bank.
“Do not draw money at the same time or day at the same bank; change your banks and times you want to withdraw,” she says.
Coetzer says that residents should take someone with them when they want to withdraw money at an ATM machine.
“Do not let the other people see how much money you withdraw.
“To be safe, go to a bigger centre where there are enclosed premises for ATM machines. These premises are normally guarded by security personnel.
