According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, this is very important for people who have registered a criminal case at the SAPS.
“This especially applies to foreigners in our area’ after a crime has been committed, they relocate and do not inform the SAPS,” she says.
Coetzer says if a suspect emerges in a case, but the complainant cannot be found, the case can be thrown out of court.
“This has happened to a few previous cases,” she adds. – @CarmenBoksburg
