In its second year hosted by the Ekurhuleni metro. Mayor Clr Mondli Gungubele said the aim of the Expo is to expose graduates, school-leavers and young entrepreneurs to various employment opportunities available at companies in and around Ekurhuleni.
“We are a municipality that hosts the biggest manufacturing sector in South Africa and can be called the workshop of Africa. We are also home to the continent’s busiest airport; these two elements are very relevant and key to our economic development,” said Gungubele.
“The hosting of this exhibition thus fits into our strategic vision which involves re-organising and revitalising the industry so that our communities can benefit from job-creating economic-growth,” he added.
The expo continued until Tuesday. – @TumeloBoksburg
