On February 14, the accused broke into the home of Elizabeth Magane and stole salad bowls, four mugs, three plates, a kettle, cups, cutlery and a dustbin.

He had a previous conviction of malicious damage to property from 2006.

He pleaded guilty, and was found guilty on April 9, and sentenced on May 6, to R3 000 or six months imprisonment, suspended for five years, and was ordered to pay the complainant R600.
On April 6, the accused damaged a dibber set and pots belonging to Munel Khanyile.

He pleaded guilty, and was found guilty on April 9, and sentenced on April 6, to six months imprisonment.
On April 5, the accused stole two body lotions, to the value of R79.98, from Pick n Pay.
He had previous convictions of house break-in in 2003, assault in 2007 and theft in 2013.

* Sydney Tshabalala (43) appeared in court in a charge of possession of a dependence producing substance.
He pleaded guilty, was found guilty, and sentenced on May 6. The magistrate postponed the passing of sentence.
On December 23, the accused was found in possession of dagga.
He had previous convictions of assault in 1993 and 1995, possession of house break-in implements in 1996, assault in 2002 and house break-in in 2004.
