Elections 2014: Angelo voters hope for change

Scores of people in Angelo informal settlement lined up to cast their votes on May 7. Presiding officers at the voting stations in the informal settlement said all the ballot papers and other equipment arrived on time. Voting was proceeding smoothly, peacefully, and briskly, with long queues and there was an air of excitement, especially among first-time voters. By 7am, all of the stations in the settlement were running. Several SAPS and EMPD police officers were at the polling stations.
