The attack was believed to be as a result of an alleged drunken brawl.
According to Dawn Park police spokesperson Capt Charles Tshabalala, a blood trail from the scene to where the man was found in an open veld, is what assisted the police in making the arrest.
“A wooden trolley was used to transport the man from the yard of the two brothers’ shack to the open veld where he was dumped. Unfortunately for the two accused, police followed the man’s blood trail and the track made by the trolley right back to their yard,” explains Tshabalala.
Tshabalala says items linking the two to the murder were found in their possession such as the wooden trolley, dirty shoes with blood splatters, and a bloodied cloth.
The incident took place at about midnight, and the man was found by a passer-by in the open veld at about 6 am.
The two will appear in court on Wednesday, April 23.
