Boksburg beauty makes Mrs SA semi-finals
Boksburg citizens will be sitting on the edge of their seats to see where the city's very own Hendrika van Staden places, in the semi-finals of Mrs South Africa Beauty Pageant, on April 12, at Emperors Palace.
Hendrika, who is originally from Pretoria, is a vibrant, energetic and caring woman.
“Throughout my life I have been blessed to be raised by my grandparents, who showered me with love,” says the beautiful brunette.
The 37-year-old is also a proud mother of four wonderful children – three daughters and a son. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Hennie.
“My life is such a blessing and, through the years, I’ve learnt that charity, respect and love starts at home,” she adds.
Through her working career in the banking industry she was fortunate to work with many people who helped to form her “character”, as she describes it, and she is “able to say that being the bubbly person I am is all a blessing from above”.
Through the years as a married woman, Hendrika says, she has learnt that not only outer beauty matters, but that inner beauty radiates and makes you automatically beautiful.
“As part of my life, I supported my daughters, who are all participating in pageants, which, in return, uplifted their self-confidence,” Hendrika says.
“As a result, I have a few of my own registered pageants, Mini Miss RSA, as an example.”
As a marketing and sales manager, Hendrika takes pride in being a hard worker, who is success-driven.
“I enjoy my work, friends, family and, above all, I embrace life!” she says.
” I am involved with several charities, as it gives me great joy to be able to make a difference in others’ lives and within our community.”
The Mrs South Africa pageant aims to highlight the positive role that married women play in the country, where the pageant winner will strive to make a difference in the lives of others and embrace the values of marriage within the diverse cultures of her country.
Fifty-five contestants will compete in the Mrs South Africa semi-finals, where after, the top 22 finalists will be at a glamorous gala dinner, held in aid of Cansa.
Mrs South Africa 2014 will be crowned at Emperors Palace on August 8.
