This is not the case of the new Ramaphosa taxi rank project, which stands a good chance of being completed ahead of schedule, and maybe even under budget.
Construction on the taxi rank is expected to be completed before end of April, the consulting engineer, Arthur Phetla, told the Advertiser on Tuesday, March 25
This expedited project was scheduled to be completed in June/July this year, and will accommodate about 35 taxis.
The rank also consists of mini shops, food stalls, and ablution facilities.
Spending on the new taxi rank construction is projected to hit R16-m.
This costly transport project has also provided dozens of temporal jobs.
