Armed robbers tie up victims, ransack house

A Sunward Park family and their visitors were robbed on March 11, by two gunmen.

Spokesperson for the Boksburg police, Lieut Kwenzakwake Ngobese, says the family members where tied up, allowing the robbers to steal goods worth thousands of rands.

These include a laptop, five cellphones, a pair of shoes and a digital camera.

The goods were then loaded into the visitor’s vehicle, a Mercedes Benz. The robbers then drove off in the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was later recovered, but the goods were missing.

* In another house robbery, a gang of four men tied up a domestic worker and an eleven-year-old boy, before ransacking a family house, along Sonskyn Road, Parkrand, on March 17.

Goods were loaded into a mini truck belonging to the robbers.

* In another robbery, robbers held security guards at gunpoint and took two computers and two cellphones.

The robbery happened on March 18, at Adlam Engineering, a company located in Boksburg East.

To gain access to the company, robbers cut the razor fence and broke the concrete fence.

No shot was fired, and no one was injured during these robberies.
