Serious potholes in Atlasville reappear

Numerous serious potholes have once again appeared along Brentwood Park Road, Atlasville.

Ward 23 Clr Andrè du Plessis has previously expressed his concern about the quality control regarding the workmanship of the contractor that repaired these potholes in the past.

“I realise that the recent rains have exacerbated the pothole problems throughout Ekurhuleni, but this Brentwood Park Road is an extremely busy road, so workmanship needs to be of the highest standard,” says du Plessis.

It is alleged that some of the potholes are as large as one square metre and approximately 10cm to 15cm deep.

It creates serious traffic hazards and danger to motorists, cyclists and motorcyclists.

According to Du Plessis, metro road workers were working on the road on Sunday, March 16, but the job isn’t done yet.

The Advertiser hasn’t received a response from the metro by the time of publication.
