Blocked stormwater drain to receive attention

“With the last heavy rains, the corner of Harding and Pearce avenue was completely under water. We had to drive through with our vehicles, and ended up with water damage,” complains resident Cynthia Struwig.

Struwig says a complaint was laid in October last year with municipality, but still nothing has been done about the matter.

The Advertiser contacted the municipality and acting metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe, who says the blocked drain will be reported and cleared.
