According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, WO Rudie Bezuidenhout and Sgt Jaco van der Mescht, visited a scrap-metal dealer in Fifteenth Avenue, Boksburg North.
“While at the dealer, they found illegal copper cables belonging to Transnet. The cables were identified by a Transnet representative as overhead cables.”
She says the value of the cables is R1 680.
