According to Vusi Mabanga, spokesperson for the EMPD, 74 fines were issued for registration and licensing contraventions.
He says 81 fines were issued for moving violations and a further 62 fines for parking and stopping offences.
“Some 112 fines were issued to special motorists, for driving without their Professional Driver Permits (PRDP),” he adds.
A further 10 motorists were fined for driving while talking on their cellphones without a hands-free kit.
There were 21 accidents in the area, where only damages occurred.
