Cleansing Levy to be corrected in February

The R5 cleansing levy has been a separate charge per property per month for Boksburg residents since last year.

Metro spokesperson Mandlakazi Mpahlwa-Sigcawu says a detailed investigation has been undertaken and the process will be corrected.

“In ensuring that Council complies within the legal framework of the Act, the administrative error will be corrected through the formal Adjustment Budget, which is planned for February 2014,” says Mpahlwa-Sigcawu.
