Parkdene CPF brings smiles to the faces of children

Parkdene CPF hosted a Christmas party for the 150 children of New Beginnings Centre, on Sunday, December 8.

The event was organised by Jackie and Johan Smith with the help of Kelvin Watson.

The visitors arrived at the centre in the morning and first took a guided tour of the centre along Commissioner Street, to find out more about the facility, before moving on to the centre’s church along Leeuwpoort Street, where the Christmas party for the youngsters was being held.

During the event, Santa Clause handed out Christmas presents, including sweet packs, goodies, snacks, soft drinks and others to all the little ones.

The underprivileged children partied up a storm, with jumping castles, a water slide and other entertainment at the event.

“Bringing smiles to the children’s faces was a very fantastic job, and we plan to have more events like this in the near future,” said Kelvin Watson.

Other donated items include furniture, toiletry, clothes and other necessities.

The event was made possible by the following sponsors: Inflatafun, Courier IT, BSL, Mister Sweets and Sasol Garage-Parkdene as well as all the members of Parkdene CPF who donated money, gifts and clothing to make this day the best ever.
