Stolen goods recovered

Two men have been arrested in Lindelani informal settlement, Windmill Park, and have been charged for possession of stolen goods at an estimated R40 000.

According to spokesperson for the Dawn Park police station, W/O Prudence Mvelase, police received a tip-off that a car was loading alleged stolen goods and made their way to the scene.

“On arrival, police found four suspects with the goods. Two escaped on foot, while the other two were arrested and are in custody,” says Mvelase.

Mvelase says the stolen goods included a plasma screen, laptops, cellphones, speakers and other valuables.

The goods were allegedly stolen during a house break-in in Groeneweide, on Wonderklip Street.
