A ton of dog food
The SPCA has received 919.30kg of dog food to keep the animals in the kennels fed throughout the festive season.
The fund-raising was a joint effort between the Chas Everitt Property Group (Boksburg), Tuckers Incorporated Attorneys, Hammond Pole Attorneys and Wilma Ewest Attorneys, with the assistance of the Cleo’s Pick ‘n Pay, in Elspark.
“It gives me enormous pleasure to arrange and work on this annual donation; it’s not the easiest of tasks, but I feel that it’s something I love to work on every year,” says Chas Everitt Boksburg real estate agent Lesley Pountain.
“Last year I managed 510kg, and it’s at least 560kg this year, so it’s great, it’s quite a challenge to meet next year.”
“We thank the donors so much; this is an enormously generous donation. We are currently very short on food, so this is a miracle,” says SPCA Boksburg chairwoman, Alta Gobey.
