Fundraising events include a popcorn and pancake stand at a local market and a jumble and elephant sale which took place on Saturday, November 2.

According to Clair Murphy from the Boksburg Girl Guides, the girls raised R1 200 at the sale, but still have a lot of jumble, toys and household goods which they will sell at their next sale.

“We will have another sale soon, because every little bit sold gets us closer to our target,” says Murphy.

The next fundraising event will be a popcorn, candy-floss and pancake stall at the St Dominic’s Christmas Market on November 29.
