Harley Davidson invades Automotive Car Expo
More than 100 Harley Davidsons, most of them from Gold Rand Harley Davidson in Boksburg, rumbled to the Aeorotropolis Automotive Outdoor Expo held at @thePark, next to Emperors Palace, on Sunday, November 3.
As a member of the Ekurhuleni Business Initiative (EBI) that hosted the event, Gold Rand Harley Davidson had a range of bikes on display ranging from softails, sportsters, dynas to VRSCs, which had onlookers taking multiple pictures in admiration.
The expo ran over the weekend, during which visitors could view latest offerings of vehicle manufacturers, while there was also entertainment on stage and water slides for the children.
On Sunday, the Ekurhuleni K9 Dog Unit put on a show where the K9 team demonstrated different exercises.
The first exercise tested basic obedience, where the team demonstrated how the dogs from the unit follow given instructions under different circumstances.
Other exercises included the explosion detection task where the dog had to find a hidden explosive inside one of five containers, which the four-legged trainee expertly executed.
Even though there was a lot to view, even a fashion show, it was the Harley Davidson’s which attracted the lion’s share of the crowd.
When asked about the bikes, salesman Stanley Shaw said the price range for the shiney, burley toys is from R86 000 to R432 000.
