St Domincs prepared and ready for matric finals

St Dominc's has come on record to say that their matrics are more than ready for the finals exams.

This follows a headline in the Advertiser regarding the matrics “cramming” for the finals.

Roger Loring, headmaster of the schools, says the article published on Friday, November 1, pertaining to the matrics was incorrectly headlined.

“If you read through the article the learners Bianca Kanagan, Chelsea Algar and Nadia Laric clearly indicate that they feel well prepared and ready for finals,” says Loring.

“The quotes ‘practising past papers’, ‘revising the old syllabus’, ‘managing my time well to deal with the pressure’, ‘reading over my work for extra revision’, ‘I don’t feel pressured’ indicate that they are ready.

“All three agreed that the preliminary exams they wrote recently proved very helpful for their overall preparations for finals.

“All three are using exercise and a good diet as their way of dealing with the pressure of Matric.

“They feel ready, well prepared and are using past papers to help them revise and prepare.”

St Dominic’s wishes all matrics in the Boksburg area a successful set of exams.

* Editor: The Advertiser apologises if the headline created the impression that the matrics were not ready or prepared for the finals. This was not the message that the headline meant to convey, but simply that the matrics were now on the brink of writing their most important exams. RE
