According to Vusi Mabanga, spokesperson for the EMPD, they issued 362 fines to motorists for driving without their card drivers’ licences.
“A further 109 fines were issued for registration and licencing contraventions and 138 fines for parking and stopping offences.”
Mabanga adds that 40 fines were issued for motorists driving without their public driving permits, 58 fines for seat belts not being worn, 11 for driving while using a cellphone and 18 fines for licence plates not being present.
There were 23 accidents in Boksburg during the past week, of which one resulted in serious injuries and the remainder in damages only.
