Boksburg resident and Ekurhuleni ratepayer, known to the Advertiser, says that after experiencing problems with her e-Siyakhokha account, she was told by an Ekurhuleni call centre agent that the site was no longer operational.
This complaint came after the municipality informed the Advertiser that the online service had reached 10 000 users and ratepayers were embracing it.
Ekurhuleni metro spokesperson, Sam Modiba, confirms that the e-Siyakhokha service is still operational.
However, he also admits that the complaint about the incorrect information received from the call centre was not the first one.
“A message will be sent to the call centre management, as this is not the first time the agents have told consumers that the facility is no longer in service,” says Modiba.
The e-Siyakhokha call centre number is 011 361 4201.
