Motorcycle rider injured in collision with car

A motorcycle rider was hospitalised on Monday after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car.

The accident occurred on Monday morning, September 16, at the intersection of North Rand and Kirchner roads, Beyers Park.

ER24 Paramedics described injuries sustained by the motorcycle rider as moderate.

He was treated on the scene before being transported to The Glynnwood Hospital by ER24 in a stable condition.

According to Glen Orritt of ER24 Johannesburg East, the rider of the motorbike was found seated a couple of meters away from his motorbike.

Orritt says, the driver of the car and a passenger, were not injured.

The details surrounding the cause of the collision are unclear and remain to be investigated by the police.
