House robber nabbed

A quick response by the Boksburg North SAPS recently led to the arrest of a house robbery suspect.

The suspect was apprehended after he and another man allegedly broke into a house on August 30.

“The complainant was sleeping in his home when he was woken up by some kind of noise in the house,” says Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS.

Coetzer says one of the suspects tried to enter the complainant’s room, but was unsuccessful when the complainant forced his door shut.

“When the complainant eventually came out of the room he saw two victims run across the road and disappear into the veld, with his television,” she says.

The Boksburg North police responded to the complainant’s call and were able to apprehend and arrest one of the suspects.

The television was also recovered.
