S4 Auto suprises MasterChef’s Sanet
Boksburg resident, Sanet Labuschagne, who made it to the top 13 on MasterChef SA, cooked up a storm at S4 Auto Boksburg, on Saturday, September 7.
She displayed her prowess during a cooking and car demo that was held at the dealership on the day.
Sanet offered the audience a step-by-step cooking demonstration, where they were taught how to build a dish based on colour, taste and texture.
The menu included biltong squares, savoury cupcakes, boere quesadillas, chicken salad and milk tart milkshakes.

Dealer principal Mohammed Paruk says people who drive nice cars enjoy nice food and that is why they decided to bring cars and food together.
“Sanet will add value to our brand as she is very enthusiastic, has a great attitude and good cooking skills. She also enjoys a lot of support from the community,” he said.
What Sanet didn’t know was that she was not the only one cooking, as S4 Auto had also cooked a surprise for her.
A Nissan Livina XGear awaited her as a courtesy car.
“She lost her job and car while following her dream, and so we decided to give her this car for the next 12 months until she gets back on her feet. This is also a joint venture where we will partner with her on various community projects,” said Paruk.
Sanet replied as she received the keys to her new car: “I have no words; I feel so blessed and overwhelmed; I’ve always been a believer that what you give you receive; if you are positive then good things will come your way.”
Sanet has launched a cooking school in her home in Parkrand, where she offers various skill-based classes.
“Every class is different, and vary from perfect pancakes, chicken dishes and fun feasts to name a few,” she said.
Sanet’s fans were very excited to watch her cook up a storm and to enjoy dishes that were specially prepared by her.
“Her food was absolutely divine and everything was beautiful. It is very different from what we cook,” said Shereen Abrahams who also attended the day.
“I enjoyed this event, because it brought people together of all cultures. I enjoy Sanet’s cooking and I will definitely get the recipes and try it myself,” said Esta Els.
