Laerskool Concordia, in partnership with Ekurhuleni’s Department of Parks and Recreation, planted three trees at the Chris Smith Park in Dayan Street, as part of the Arbor Week celebrations.
The park was named after former Boksburg Mayor (1971), Chris Smith, who was also in attendance at the event.
He says it was a great honour to have the park named after him, and more especially to see that the municipality has not forgotten about it.
The metro has renovated the park.
