Bakers called to be Cupcake Angels
Non-profit company, Cupcake for Hope, invites all avid bakers to become Cupcake Angels by baking and donating 48 cupcakes at the East Rand Mall on September 28.
Cupcake for Hope holds various events during the year, but their main event is hosting South Africa’s National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer in September.
The national event is a community-driven project and an event aimed at bringing the whole community together for a good cause.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so the funds raised through the selling of the cupcakes will be used to help give a child a fighting chance against cancer.
“In September 2012, we hosted South Africa’s first National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer at 20 venues across South Africa.
“Thanks to all the sponsors and the amazing cupcake angels that baked all the stunning cupcakes for the event, we were able to raise an astonishing R507 000,” says founder of the Cupcake of Hope Company, Sandra Cipriano.
“All the hard work has made a difference in so many cancer patients already, and I can’t wait to see what God has got planned for us in 2013.”
